Texas Miata Round-Up: The Deadlines are Approaching Fast!

Greetings and Howdy from the Texas Hill Country!

Round-Up in Fredericksburg, Texas!

Register! Only a few spots are left at $68 per person. On August 2nd it increases to $90 per person (if registration is still open and it may be too late to get a t-shirt).

Round Up Apparel! Make your additional purchases in the Round-Up Store on the website now! That’s includes apparel such as Twisted Sisters T-shirts, Jackets, Ball Caps, additional Round-Up T-shirts, and purchasing tickets for the Friday Night Passport Wine Dinner. Don’t delay on getting your orders placed!! We must finalize the apparel order on August 2nd, to ensure all the items are received in time for the Round-Up. There will not an apparel store at the Round Up.

Dress Yourself! That all important decision on what to wear to the Saturday evening banquet and party in the 1940’s themed South Pacific Room must be made. We can't wait to see everyone in their 1940’s, Tropical, South Pacific, or Military style apparel to add to the theme and make for the most memorable photos! Don’t be the only one not in themed apparel.

Road Ready! Inspect your tires so they are top notch for driving our twisty Hill Country Roads and do maintenance on your Miata. On past Round-Ups, there have been blowouts either due to low tread or tire pressure. We want you to have a great time with no issues, so make sure you are ready to Zoom-Zoom!

Comms Check! We will be using two-way radios for communication during the runs. Make sure all necessary accessories are handy also - headsets, antennas, etc and know how to use them. Now is the time to upgrade to a nicer headset or a longer-range antenna. We prefer to use FRS/GMRS Two-way Radios, such as Beofeng. Click here for more info on radios. And, if you’ve done all that, then check out how to change the channel on your two-way radio. Each run will have its own channel to ensure we don’t have cross talk as runs depart the city. So, if you are used to using channel 5 in your club, learn how to switch it to channel 12 , 9, or 14.

We will be adding information to our TexasMiataRoundUp.com website about the variety of runs and other activities so you can begin thinking about how you will enjoy your time in the Texas Hill Country. As we get closer, we will provide some last-minute packing tips and other things to think about as you prepare to join us in September for the 2019 Texas Miata Round-Up. We are excited to have you spend time with us!
